The holidays are a tough time, nutritionally speaking, when you're conscious about what and how much you eat. The typical fare we have to deal with is just chocked full of calories, fat, sodium, and it's amazing at the quantities people will pack away.
I did well this Thanksgiving though, for probably the first time. It probably helped that I got home late from work, and in the middle of dinner. I stuck to lean Turkey meat, and a 1/2 cup of stuffing. I gave in and has a 1" slice of apple pie, but that was it. No binge, no stuffing myself full of pre-dinner dips and chips, no calorie dense drinks. For the first time I can remember I left not feeling stuffed and gross.
I also got in one of the Insanity workouts in the morning before flying: Pure Cardio. Not being much of an a.m. workout guy, it was killer.
Yesterday was the P90X MC2 One on One: Base and Back. REALLY hard workout. Followed up today with my own Cardio Martial Arts program, that almost made me hurl.
We have 2 new cats in the house right now, and they're a handful. We have the youngest kitten integrated pretty well with Curi, who we've had for 7 years, but Boots is taking a bit longer. I have to travel again next week so they will be spending the time apart until both Kim and I are back again. Can't wait until they're used to each other and we won't have to worry about it.
Though it's been a holiday weekend, my mind is racing right now with developing an action plan to really grow my Beachbody business to the next level. I'm already pulling in a decent amount of money, but I have a 3 year goal of $5000 per week. I work at it, bust my butt, but I feel like I can be doing more... just need to figure out what that is. That level of income is entirely possible, and I know I will get there, but it's something that is pushing me and I'm ready to keep it rolling and growing full steam ahead. In doing so I'm ready to help my Team duplicate that process. Seeing my friends get to that level of success as well is really what this is about.

Fitness and health are important for everyone, whether you travel for a living or not. Our goal as Independent Team Beachbody Coaches is to provide some useful info, insights, opinions, that may help you on your journey. We specialize in guiding people through Beachbody programs, such as P90X and Insanity.

Would you be willing?
One of our friends made a statement today that struck a chord with me. She's a Beachbody Coach who is about to become Diamond rank on Thursday. Her motivation and drive are a great inspiration. She's working hard now with a 3 year plan that will put her in a great place. She knows where she's going and how she's going to get there, along with the hard work it will take.
So the question is: If you had the opportunity to seriously bust your butt, work really hard at something for 3 years, but at the end of that time you'd be financially independent, and never have to worry about money again, would you do it? Would you seriously commit to the work it takes to make it happen?
I know I would, and am. That's what's gotten me to the 6 week qualification for 3-Star Diamond Coach, and built a Team that is growing by bigger and bigger numbers every week. I know in 3 years or less I'll be pulling in $5000 per week, and I won't stop when I get there.
The opportunity is right there. To make it happen just takes commitment and dedication.

It takes work
I put this out to all of my Team tonight:
Hey Coaches,
Just a quick note to everyone. We've had a lot of new Coach sign ups lately with the sign up fee waived. Now it's up to us as Sponsors to get them started right and spreading the word themselves, getting them finding new Coaches of their own.
I was having a discussion with my Captain this week. He, his brother, and their cousin all went in together and bought a marina on the Finger Lakes in NY. It cost over $1 million, so their life savings, houses, first born children, etc. are all mortgaged and on the line for it being successful. With that in mind they are busting their butts to make it happen.
Beachbody costs us considerably less, from a now free sign up, to around $100 per month with products and fees. That's minimal by comparison, but there is something that is vitally important that is the same in both businesses:
It takes putting in some significant effort, doing the work every day, to build a real business.
For us, that work isn't back breaking, nor is it hard. It's as simple as talking to people every day about Beachbody, giving out 3rd Party Tools, and following up. That's 80% of it. 20% is teaching those who do sign up to duplicate what you're doing.
It's not difficult work to do, nor is it complicated. The question is, are you doing it? Are you putting out the effort to reach your dreams with this, or are you sitting back and hoping it's just going to grow on its own? If you're not doing the work, I promise you it's never going to grow. That's hard fact. We can achieve anything we want with Beachbody. My personal goal is to make $5000 per week with this in the next 3 years, and I know I'll do it. But to get there I am busting my butt.
This same philosophy is true of your Fitness, though that work is considerably more physically demanding. However, getting in shape is drastically more difficult than staying in shape. If you put for the effort in the gym, and in the kitchen, you will see the results.
What are your goals? Are you busting your butt to get there. If you're stuck on what to do, how to do it, let me know and I'll be glad to help out. I can't make you do it, I can't make you motivated to do it, but I can let you know that if you do the work, this will eventually pay off for you. In the beginning we are grossly underpaid for the effort, but in the end we will be drastically over paid for it, both physically in business, and in your health and fitness.

A burning desire
I wrote this for some of my Team members tonight:
I've come to a conclusion over the last couple of days, based on reading books, talking to Leaders, etc:
We all know that if a man wants something badly enough he'll figure out how to get it. What I believe is that each of us has the desire to achieve high ranks within Beachbody, but I think we all in this group could focus that more by programming ourselves for it. What I mean by that is thinking beyond "It would be cool to be able to do this full time, and make 6 figures at it," and beyond believing that it's possible to get there, to be at the point where each of us wants it so badly that it becomes a burning desire, an internal need to achieve that success.
I personally feel that right now. I don't just want to be a 5-Star, I don't just believe I can be if I work hard, I NEED to be. I want it so badly I can taste it. I want it so much that it almost hurts. I'm like that little kid who sees the newest and coolest toy and has to have it. That's me and 5-Star Diamond, and a 6 - figure base with this.
How did I get here: It started with the belief that I could get that. I've known for a long time that it's possible and I've been working hard to get to it. It's been a solid goal. I've written it down, and read it every day.... but in doing that I'm putting a lot of personal feeling into it. I'm closing my eyes and seeing it, clenching my teeth and saying "My God I want that!" I am burning that thought into my head, over and over, and it has sparked a fire that will NOT be put out. I know what I want, and I WILL have it.
Can you put that into your head? Will you?
Part of what Craig Holiday has said for us to do as Leader and Sponsors is to give assignments to our new Coaches and our Teams. We need to have concrete things for them to do and report back on. This is one of those things. I want you all to start doing the exact same thing. I want you all to figure out exactly what you want to achieve, and start programming that into your heads every night. More than just writing down a goal, I want you to solidify that with thoughts and beliefs that make it a burning desire. Every night before bed, and every morning when you wake up, put those thoughts into your head. When you do that, they will start to manifest into action.

3- Star Diamond Beachbody Coach
The single best part of being a Team Beachbody Coach is that achieving all that I have is done through helping others get fit, healthy, and achieve the results I have gotten with Beachbody programs. It's an amazing feeling to pay it forward, to have a pilot come up to me in our crew lounge and say "You got me started on P90X last year, and I've lost 56 lbs doing it!" I had that experience on Monday and I LOVE THAT. It validates every bit of hard work I've put into my workouts and my business, and in changing my life for the better.
I made another milestone leap in my Team Beachbody business today: entered the 6 week qualification status for 3-Star Diamond Coach. By holding it for 6 weeks it gives me the lifetime rank of 3-Star Diamond. My goal is to be a 5-Star Diamond Coach by the 2nd week in February, which will get me the 6 week qualification for that done by the end of the first quarter of next year, and thus qualify me for the 5-Star Diamond bonus.
This is a HUGE step for me in my business. I feel like I'm truly gaining confidence in this as a Leader, as one who is and will distinguish himself as a powerhouse in the Coaching business. Not is my income quickly climbing toward the 6-figure range with this, but my belief in myself grows with it.
This is more than a dream, this is a reality that is coming around for me. I want to help my entire Team experience the same things. I want to add new people to the Team and show them the way to get where I am today and beyond. That's my commitment to my Team, and to myself.

Pain is just weakness leaving your body
I've been saying that for years. Picked it up from a buddy in martial arts training, and it's stuck. But I'm living with it right now, big time! Had a couple of great workouts this week: P90X Chest Shoulders & Triceps on Sunday, and Back & Biceps yesterday. It's been a while since I did either of them and my upper arms are SCREAMING afterward.
It's funny how I've actually come to enjoy the sense of pain and tightness I get from the workouts, and being able to work through it, work the kinks out, and keep going.
It's been busy again, flying more regular hours after a month's vacation. I love the job I do, but being gone from home all of the time wears on you. I can't wait for the day that I can do it part time or simply in my own plane again because my Beachbody income has reached that level.
We had an amazing meeting with Craig Holiday on Monday night, and it's got me more energized than ever about this business. It's growing faster than I ever imagined now.

Leadership training tomorrow
I'm getting pretty excited about the meeting we have set up with Craig Holiday for some Leadership training tomorrow. Craig is an amazing motivational speaker and has a lot he can teach us about building our businesses. I'm all for that.
I've also heard from one of the Coaches in my Team who is fairly young but diving in and setting his sights on SuperStar Diamond Coach. I personally think that's awesome to find someone college age looking to shoot for the stars. I'm right there with him.
I've been seeing consistent growth in my business and every day I see new people on the Team it gets me more and more excited. Every time one of my Coaches advances in rank I love it, and not just because it helps my income, but because I love seeing others succeed and being a part of that. I get an honest excitement out of other people finding the same results and success that I have.
That is what drove me to being a Beachbody Coach to begin with: I got amazing results with P90X and wanted to help others do the same. If I can do it, anyone can, but a lot of people struggle with one piece or another. If I can help them out with that and it gets them where they want to be, that just rocks.
I'm off to go to P90X Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps. This is one of the hardest P90X workouts by far. BRING THE PAIN!

Recovery continues, but I need more sleep!
Kim and I drove around today to find a place that we can use to start a local Fit Club. There is enough interest from the local Coaches and people doing Beachbody programs in our area that having a weekly group workout would be fun and a great way to keep everyone going. It's also a great way to introduce more people to the workouts and let them know that there is something for everyone to get them active, regardless of their fitness level.
It's nice to be able to get some positive feedback from the places we went. Living in this town it's been difficult on both of us because there is just a lot of apathy when it comes to personal health and fitness. It seems around here that the all you can eat buffet at Golden Corral, or Cici's Pizza are the end-all be-all of greatness, that McDonalds is a staple of what people should eat, and that having a waist size that is equal to your inches in height is an attainable goal for everyone.
I probably sound a little sarcastic, and maybe I am, but not by much. Since I started P90X and changed my life, it's opened my eyes a lot to what others are doing to themselves. I had let myself go much further than I ever wanted, but I was aware of it and working on it, just not doing the right things. It's great when I can find and help others who are struggling with that same problem, because I can show them there are things out there that work without gimmicks or fad diets.
After spending time doing looking for a place, I cleared out the garage of the Halloween decorations. WOW do we have a lot of stuff! Our storage area is full and there is more I didn't get in there, but at least the movable walls got slid out of the way and both cars, both motorcycles are back in their spots.
It's also a handful around the house with 2 new cats. The kitten is adorable, but hyper and she meows all night because she's alone in the back bedroom. When our eldest, Curi has had a chance to really get used to them being in the house, and both of the newcomers have gotten over the colds they got in the animal shelter, they'll be allowed to mingle and integrate more fully. In the mean time, I'm trying to spend time with all 3 of them, while getting in my workouts and doing some work as well.
It will be nice when things are slowed down again.

Busy busy week
It always seems that flying and being a Beachbody Coach are good together, but there are times when weather delays hit, and a short overnight makes it hectic to catch up on 2 hours worth of emails and posts to communicate with my Customers and Coaches.
Is it worth it? Absolutely. Not only is the financial reward great, but the true reward comes from hearing messages people are sending saying they've made amazing changes in their lives and that I've helped them with that.
Tonight was supposed to be part of my Recovery Week, but Kim wanted to go to a friend's Boot Camp class, so we went and helped out. I got to be on stage for a good part of it, which was fun, but when you're in front of a group it's really hard not to push well into your limits. I swapped out with another buddy for a bit because I was on the verge of losing my dinner!
I'm ready to get the Halloween maelstrom that blows through my house every year cleaned up, and back on track. I'm focused, determined, and on fire to really succeed in my fitness and business. I'm looking for more people to join me on my journey every day.
